@xGPhilosophy It's almost like xG is an utterly pointless metric isnt it?

We all know how this playoff final will end don't we? It'll be 0-0 into extra time, Boro's goalie will go off injured, Wildsmith will come on and save every penalty in the shoot out #wba

@TRobinsonNewEra You mean lots of people having fun? Awful isn't it, you racist grifter

@WBA @BirminghamPride @WBALGBT Jesus Christ. The state of replies here. I just hope those complaining about this know they really are the dregs of society

The step regression of the UK's underclass is just so depressing.
I am 51 and as a football obsessed kid in the late 70s, 80s and 90s, I witnessed a clear reduction in the racist bullshit in football.
Genuine, serious progression.
Now, I'm not naive enough to think that the racists went away or changed their views, but it became an unacceptable trait within the game and things changed so much for the better.
Now, in 2026, with the rise of Reform UK and Ruprecht's Restore, we see these vile characters, openly espousing racism again.
Taking pride in their bigotry. ☹️
Where did we go so wrong, as a nation?

Harry Maguire, who is English and Northern Irish… … has been demographically replaced in the England World Cup team by an African named ‘Addji Keaninkin Marc-Israel Guéh’ born in Ivory Coast. What’s the point in a ‘national’ football team if someone who is NOT from that nation can join? Maguire should play for England. Guéh should play for Ivory Coast. Common sense. I’m sure Maguire isn’t even allowed to contest this decision because, as his shirt says in the photo below, ‘no room for racism’.

@Carpenterdf The injury records could be a problem couldn’t they… Saka, Stones, James are all risks in key positions 😬
English

@Hannanar Those are all very fair arguments 🤣 I think it shows ultimately that the squad/options are very strong in some positions and very weak in others, and have a number of key players with very questionable injury records
English

@Carpenterdf … Spence, Burn, Guehi and O’Reilly and that is incredibly weak. We might have to agree to disagree on Spence, I think he’s incredibly mid, there are several better options and it’s a waste of spot that can be used on someone much more beneficial
English

@Hannanar Personally I think Burn/Maguire is the main odd pick. Spence etc I have no issue being in, but equally if someone like Hall had been chosen instead I wouldn't have minded either.
English

@Hannanar For me NM and EE offer more flexibility. MGW is unlucky but when you have Bellingham, MR etc he wouldn't play
I would also have taken Maguire but I guess Burn can also play at full back if need be? Spence performed well in recent England games so I guess that's that logic
English

@talkwba No, I agree. The reactions from some are bordering on pathetic and childlike
English

Just me who doesn’t really understand the uproar Grant is receiving for posting Konsa’s post on his story?
They’ve been best mates for years and he’s just happy for his mate. As far as i’m concerned we are in no position to be concerned about Villa and their success. #wba

@PolitlcsGlobal Further evidence of quite how vile and barbaric this Israeli regime is

@SaintsExtra This is like your defence against speeding is
"Well yes I was speeding at that point but I was stuck in a traffic jam later on so actually got there later than normal so I shouldn't be punished"

🚨 #SaintsFC sources felt the Spygate hearing should have taken place after the play-off final, rather than being expedited by the EFL. They thought there were too many rules that had no defined sanctions, which left too much open to interpretation, and if the rules had been clearer, the incident would have been resolved more speedily.
They also pointed out that Southampton put in one of their worst performances in recent months against Middlesbrough in the first leg, which suggested that no sporting advantage had been gained.
