@bwstanley26 will seek an outside improvement. Even then though, he will be retained as a bench player until maybe the final year. Then it will be deemed acceptable to release him. Only hope if there’s no improvement earlier is a prospect forcing their hand.

Great the Ohtani situation like when an offensive lineman has to check in an eligible reciever. If he’s good to pitch, then Dodgers can carry only 12 other pitchers. If they plan to no throw him for a period of time, reclassify as just a DH. Then they can have 13 pitchers,

@MM_Sportsnews Of course he faced talented hitters, but the depth of talent today is unparalleled. Bottom of the order guys today would be all stars back then and that’s based off the depth of pitching talent they have to face. Every team has 2-3 guys that can throw 100 & everyone can throw 95

@Sannnnch1 @podoffame Glavine would suck, but I think Maddux would still find success. Maddux had an understanding of psychology that was unmatched and an elite changeup used effectively with a fastball still works well today.
