The one off trip of a lifetime. 14800 feet up by Annapurna 2 in the Himalayas just now. Heading to 17800 feet by Wed. Not sponsored this time but still raising awareness for MSF and CHAS. Unbelievable scenery.

10 months after retiring from CHAS and trying to support various of our family circumstances, I am just back from a few days in Romania “working alongside” a paediatrician at emanuelhospice.org/en Humbled at the dedication to support some really challenging clinical situations

I’m at Edinburgh airport. Thrilled to be going to Canada 🇨🇦 to speak about the Scottish 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 model of children’s palliative care. Specifically, I’ve been invited to talk about involving people in designing healthcare.🧵

PS - the last one….apparently we all got CHAS onto BBC1 at 12.10pm today! So, I was there!

No’ been able 2 tweet much over the summer cos of family circs. Just now I’ve have “xcaped” Cymru but I’ll b back with my Mam on Tues. Been in London 2/7 but v understandably Harry and Meghan could knee b @ any Awards. 2moro the GNR…will attack 2 hrs….let u ken! Will have a go

@RevAmandaReid Great to hear from you once more. A quick reply. Not retired yet (in any sense!), as full on trying to sort my Mam’s accommodation and dissolve my folks’ place in N Wales. Will try and catch up one day, but the view from the tap at 04.40 yesterday was inspiring! Keep going, Patx

Nearly completing retirement challenges! Sunday saw an all-nighter joining other CHAS fundraisers in our bid to climb Nevis at night. We left at 00.15 & returned tired but successful at 08.40!Conditions were tough but we were guide-led. Last stop GNR T -6. justgiving.com/team/DrPat

It’s been a tremendous summer of weather. However, we spent most of it my N Wales after my Dad died in July, not least as my Mam has needed care++. Still hopeful of taking on Nevis at Night this Sat & then GNR! Thanks for all your continued support. DrPats64 challenge continues!

3 wks ago: “Edinburgh jog”. Now a slow 10km in Glasgow. Another full week just finished with some intense clinical work mixed with my kilt out x2 for 1st time since pre-pandemic. I was caught to sign something off at Rachel House on Fri before the Rocking Horse Ball! Bw, DrPats64

Amazing 2 wks with a marathon, a 1st face 2 face conference (SPPC) 4 some time the following day, & then clinical work. Today I’m in “Brum” 4 the APPM conference - just great 2 c so many folk again. Here’s AK, current APPM chair, presenting Sat, Formulary author 2 say thanks+++!
