Path works from 29 Nov - Glencharnoch Wood Works to improve access on the approach to the boardwalk bridge as well as replacing the structure itself. The route will remain open throughout for pedestrian access following onsite signage. @carrbridge @WoodlandTrust @CNPnature

From Duncan our community ranger: There have been huge flocks of Redwings over Carrbridge in recent days, a clear herald of Autumn. There are usually good numbers of Fieldfares most years but only seen a couple so far. Perhaps it isn’t cold enough yet. Keep alert to their arrival

From Duncan our community ranger: We are fortunate, in Badenoch & Strathspey, to share the landscape with Golden Eagles. White-tailed Eagles are also becoming more frequently seen to add to the excitement. Imagine my surprise to see both species over Carrbridge in the last 2 wks

@RSPBScotland yesterday helping to carry out some work in The @WoodlandTrust’s Glencharnoch Wood in @Carrbridge during their regional gathering. 46 staff helped recreate open water for dragonflies in the wood and carried out management for a rare moth, Kentish Glory.

Path resurfacing Glencharnoch Woods 18th Nov to 6th Dec. During this time, the 'Glencharnoch Walk' path will be resurfaced & temporary diversions may be in place. Please observe onsite instructions for your safety, keeping dogs under close control. @WoodlandTrust @CNPnature
