I thought that after some time learning the job I'd be able to return to making content. Sadly I can't make that work. So for now I wanted to announce a hiatus from Carrot Scraps. This isn't a goodbye 🙂 I don't know when but I'll be back eventually. Thanks for being the best!

I've had a lot of fun making content over the years. Meeting and entertaining fantastic people has been a blast! Earlier this year I got a new job that I'm incredibly grateful for but it demands so much attention from me that making new content is difficult.

I’d say Bleach has a lot aside from the action but what I have always loved is the art. It’s not a perfect story but there’s so much care put into unique character designs and compelling artwork. I’ve also always loved that Kubo took the time to write poems for each volume.

I think there are plenty of themes and ideas to explore beyond that but the art of Bleach is my favorite part of it. All that being said it’s an action series so of course the action is going to be a big part of why other people like it and I think that’s great.

Something I’ve noticed that has really upset me recently is how much fighting and heat I’ve seen between fans of the big three, Naruto, Bleach and One Piece. These series are suddenly more popular then ever! Instead of insulting other series let’s all just enjoy what we love!

The new Bleach Anime has been fantastic. It definitely improves on a lot of the problems I had with the original story which has been really nice! I still have many criticisms of this arc but I’m trying not to overthink the gift this Anime is and just enjoy the ride 😊

In preparation for the new Bleach episodes I decided to rewatch the original Anime (AGAIN!) and I loved it of course. I was actually surprised to find that I had an emotional reaction to the last episode. An episode that wouldn’t get a follow up for 10 years. It was really nice!

So I’ve been on a huge Bleach kick recently and I hope you don’t mind me gushing about it! 😁
