After losing the series to LSU yesterday,It's officially over for the baseball season. Unless this team wins conference tournament,they'll miss a regional for 2nd straight yr.If this team couldn't get up to beat tf out LSU ( Paul Maineiri ties) it won't for tournament.

@gamecocks8031 yeah true assemian is more of a defensive guy with limited offense. hannah is good but ive seen blakeneys highlights and man that dude is explosive, him being more of a veteran guy i just think he would start over hannah but that’s my opinion. both are great players tho

@CarsonHowe61895 I can see that too. I like Hannah’s upside and athleticism a little bit more than Blakeney, but he’s proven. I think an unsigned player will start at PF with Assemian being back up. He wasn’t bad for a FR last season, especially with defense and rebounds, just no offensive game.

@Trees307 @gamecocks8031 i’m leaning more towards mincy, blakeney, heide, AB, and another hopeful big that isn’t signed yet. paris will have a good bit of different rotation to work with as well. a bench lineup i like is marcus, polk (because he’s a three point threat), hannah, necas, and one more big.

@Trees307 good point, necas is good because he can also shoot 3’s and so can alekas but it’s hard to tell if they’re paint dominant bigs which from what i’ve seen they aren’t. paris needs to get a paint dominant big that can help out a ton rather just getting a big that can shoot 3’s

Absolutely a fair point. My counterpoint would be his at the rim efficiency being as low as it is and hannah’s explosiveness. Neither are a bad option. Both are good basketball players. That’s gonna make this offseason very very fun. For the first time in a while, we have more than 5 starter caliber players. And we’re not done yet. People wanna focus on the Necas’s of the world but he got chosen to come do 1 thing mainly. To fill a spot. That’s not the focus. Mincy, Hannah, Heide, etc. those are the focuses

I’m not saying we’re gonna be elite. I am saying it’s really fun to be able to argue whether or not guys like Hannah and Blakeney will start as opposed to the last couple years where we were arguing whether or not Jordan Butler or Mo U should start.

@Trees307 man paris better get 2-3 more bigs😭😭 we also will have great guard depth. like we’ve been talking about tho getting bigs will be essential to having a successful season

@Trees307 maybe but still need a few more forwards and centers to really have a chance at competing for being a top SEC team. we got killed every game on the glass. that tennessee game was a perfect example and also against some lower level teams they had bigger bigs than we did😭

@Trees307 i did see that, that’s a great pickup. still feel like we need a few more bigs to go with jakub and alekas, some more forwards would be good. our guard room looks good rn but we could use some forwards that are 6’8-6’9 as well to have more depth

Getting Necas was a move to fill a need on the defensive end of the floor in the paint. You aren’t running the offense through every portal grab. Does that mean he can’t score? Not at all. He has a good technique down low. But it addresses a need we desperately did not have last season

@on3 @PeteNakos SC hired a system OC in Briles whose system relies on a pocket passing game manager to stay in the pocket and let the routes develop; Sellers is neither and stays in the pocket less than 4 seconds before improvising and running. Round peg, square hole.
