On a scale of 1 to 10, how hot was Farrah Fawcett in the ‘70s?

@UOrangemen GPA “say more” about the player than the face value of the grade to coaches. It includes the player’s level commitment, integrity, perseverance and ability to be successful off of the court along with intangibles.

@UOrangemen Best thing about AAU is that age is verified so you don’t have 20 year old dudes playing 17u tournaments.

Really interesting strategy: a local recruit here in the 757 area sent film to coaches. Got a few to agree to come watch. He purposely told them he was shorter than he actually is. He said all of the coaches mentioned how much taller he was than they expected. What’s your take?

@TweetsbyCoachP Depends on the team, what if you are lucky enough to have 5 or 6 killers riding the pine waiting to earn their turn?

It’s very disheartening to see Coaches pull players after making one mistake. I’ve never seen it help a player be more loose and play with confidence. It makes them be overly conscious of every movement. I think it’s detrimental to development honestly.

@UOrangemen If that’s the 5 day a week schedule there better be amazing nutrition every 2 hours and at least 2 full rr days.

@UOrangemen ….might be a grade / transcript issue. No coach wants to endorse academically ineligible players, it is a waste and loss of their future credibility.

@UOrangemen Exactly… only one really scoring is the promoter from that fee income and $20 door charge.

@coachcam206 An ad clearly written by an academic administrator that is more concerned with appearances than results. While I understand a degree is important it isn’t going to guarantee the best coaching candidate.

This is wild to me. D2 coaching position. Need the degree but not coaching experience. We have to figure this out.

@CoachBenge I had many offers to play D3 and to be honest most were from schools charging $50K+ per year so I can understand and appreciate the perspective that D3 is “pay to play.”
