@Larry57232696 I have not looked at them much, but I don't plan to buy them Look at the cash vs debt, I don't buy companies like that. It's the reason I wouldn't buy $AVGO or $ORCL

This is honestly the dream, I don't think anything in life is better If I we're to name my future goals it would be: - 4-6 kids - A paid off 5 bed room house - Married to my girlfriend - $1 million + stock portfolio Those are all things my idol @joecarlsonshow has achieved If you don't watch his videos you really should they have changed my investing mindset for the better

Uhm, wrong. Never liked working, did it because I needed money. Enjoyed solving hard technical challenges, but that was always a small portion of the 'work'. Now I don't need the money and am 'retired'. Would be happy to work on hard technical challenges and skip the rest of it, but no one wants to pay me to do that. I worked to live, I didn't live to work. I've switched careers and am now an investment portfolio manager for a single portfolio.....mine.

The FIRE (financial independence retire early) movement has done an immense amount of harm to society This is coming from someone who used to be a believer in FIRE, but I have realized just how much of a fallacy it is, as I have grown older Taking a bunch of high potential income earners and convincing them that their life goal should be to pursue a net worth that allows them to check out of society is immensely damaging to the social fabric Many of these people sit on the upper echelon of office jobs, have built great businesses, or are at the top of their field in their career field They should be inspired to continue doing what they are best at, and ultimately, mentor and give back to the next generation who want to pursue those same goals Instead, many of these FIRE folks become wandering retirees with a meaningless life who are trying to grasp on to money as their north star It is a false sense of security and accomplishment. Becoming wealthy should never be a goal in the first place. It should have always been to pursue something that adds meaning to your own life and to society It is a completely fallacy to believe that retiring will be your source of happiness. More often than not, it has the complete opposite effect

I did take a peak at my Roth IRA today and noticed just how choppy it has really been over the past 3 months. Recovered in ~2 years, then ~90x over the decade. 2️⃣ . 2018–19: –44%. “Streaming wars will kill it.” New ATH within 18 months. 3️⃣ . 2021–22: –76%. Subscriber loss panic. Then roughly 8x into 2025. 4️⃣ . 2025–26: –45%. Same script, new headline. The business was still compounding while the price was dropping, take your conclusions ‼️
