Today, the @AmericanCancer Society released Breast Cancer Facts & Figures 2024, a report on breast cancer occurrence and trends in the US. The new report finds breast cancer mortality rates overall have dropped by 44% since 1989, but that not all women have benefited from this progress. To learn more, visit: cancer.org/content/dam/ca…

So grateful you leant your powerful voice and story to this amazing film. You are a tireless advocate for a healthcare system for all especially individuals who have been intentionally prevented from accessing the care and thriving.

So surreal to be sitting here about to view this documentary film that I had the honor of being a part of. @ACSCAN & @BlackVotersMtr partnered with film director, Ashley O’Shay, to tell the story of families caught in the gap in the 10 states that have not expanded #medicaid

Lisa Lacasse, president of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, said in a statement the proposal is "expansion in name-only." "Including work requirements is not increasing access to care, it's erecting barriers," she said.

What an incredible honor to be nominated. I don’t have a huge SM following so really don’t expect to garner many votes. Just thrilled to have my decades of #HealthEquity & #CancerEquity work recognized! @ASCO @mvalliance @AmericanCancer @VUMCRadOnc @VUMC_Cancer @WakeCancer
