@aaron_renn The story of Zionsville is incredibly sad. Prime example clinging to the status quo at all costs. Zionsville could have protected the Village using the horsey area as a buffer to new development at the I-65 interchange. X could have been FranklinTN. rather than a bad case study.

This is pretty funny. The town of Zionsville merged with a couple of townships because nearby Whitestown was gobbling up all the land. Zionsville is now discontinuous and has isolated islands in its incorporated area. The white at center is mostly Whitestown.

There was a time in the history of our Nation when our leaders would have sat across the table from Putin and said, “If having a democratic government on the border of Russia is a threat to you, Communist Cuba is a threat to us. 100,000 US troops are being sent to Guantanamo now.

@Dewald_SRO Our entire Department does an outstanding job of protecting our city. And, yes, 99% of police officers are good, honest citizens. That is a far higher percentage than there is in the media business.

I have always been and will always be proud of being a police officer! I know 99% of of my brother and sister are doing it for the right reasons! Despite a majority of today’s media, we are good people! 💙

My sources against anybody in this state. Dolson has a guy making contact for him so he can say honestly: “I never called so-and-so.” But IU made a run at Holtmann. Believe who you want. But believe this: My sources are unimpeachable. Not “good authority.” Unimpeachable.

@GreggDoyelStar What I did not say is that my wife is a retired RN. She retired after 41 years, the last 20 as a critical care case manager. I have a daughter who is an RN, a granddaughter who is a nursing student. Very sensitive to how nurses are treated.

@Carter4Council That's a fair point, and reasonably stated. I don't get why you're trying to make me feel bad about something that would NEVER happen. But this, I like. And fair.

@GreggDoyelStar Gregg ... I sincerely hope you are right. But, forgive my cynicism. Reading the Star’s lead article today about county hospitals, their CEO salaries, and the state of our nursing homes, I am not inclined to have the faith in the management of some of our hospitals that you do.

Today’s IMS decision not to allow spectators at the 500 is a marketing disaster. Why didn’t they postpone the Race until October with fans in attendance? If there is still this problem at that time they can run it without fans then.
