🎗️3 years ago today- I RANG the BELL & got my port removed! ‼️ I was diagnosed with cancer in March of 2023 at the age of 14. While other kids were spending their freshman summer preparing for high school sports and playing in All-Star games, I was fighting battles bigger. . . So when people say, “You’ve got time,” it hits different for me. Because the truth is, time is never guaranteed! Having opportunities taken away from you changes the way you see sports, competition, and life. It teaches you not to waste reps, or moments waiting for “someday” Or “your senior season” Every practice, every game, every chance to compete matters because I know what it feels like to have it all paused in an instant. That’s why I play with urgency. That’s why I care so much— because I understand how quickly things can change. I’ve already had moments stolen from me that I can never get back, and that experience built a different level of hunger, gratitude, and perspective in me as an athlete and as a person. I’ve learned more than most my age, that life isn’t always fair, but every challenge has made me stronger and made me the person I am today. Thankful to still be cancer free today 👏🏼 Excited for what’s ahead 🎗️‼️
