Lee Anderson has been stripped of Tory whip for not saying sorry for alleging that “Islamists” are controlling the London Mayor Sadiq Khan. Here is the official statement: “A spokesperson for Chief Whip Simon Hart said, ‘Following his refusal to apologise for comments made yesterday, the Chief Whip has suspended the Conservative whip from Lee Anderson MP.’” The chief whip presumably believes few Tory MPs will support Anderson. But it is another fraught, potentially party splitting episode for the PM

"Following a call with the Chief Whip, I understand the difficult position that I have put both he and the Prime Minister in with regard to my comments.
"I fully accept that they had no option but to suspend the whip in these circumstances.

The government has taken a fully functioning digital voting system which took 15mins per vote in which all MPs could participate and replaced it with a queuing system taking 45mins per vote in which only 2/3 of MPs can participate. Not a great advert for government effectiveness.

On 14 March Macron locked down France (here’s a picture of him doing it). On 20 March he rang Boris Johnson threatening to shut the border unless the UK acted quicker. Yesterday Johnson claimed that the UK's lockdown was ahead of France's. @BorisJohnson is quite simply a liar
