@patmccarry O’Brien is ahead of Lowe now for me especially after his last 2 performances offers something that Lowe doesn’t and that is out and out pace.

@seanmac67 @TomOHanlon17 Also injuries to Lowe, Hansen and Keenan were possibly a blessing in disguise. We have found two wingers with electric pace in Baloucoune and O’Brien, with Osborne impressing as well at 15.

@TomOHanlon17 Ireland not winning all before them, they year before a WC might suit them better going into that tournament. Last thing they need is another hype train going into a WC

Farrell getting a lot of praise for how Ireland ended its 6 Nations campaign But could it not be argued that his decisions - to walk out on Ireland for a year, to drop his 6 Nations winning 10 for Prendergast last season & into this season have cost Ireland the last two 6Ns 🏆

@Gerry_Flan93 @m_brosnan Yeah definitely great that hopefully it is changing, but from my viewpoint not that way in every county. Lads are part of county panels getting very little game time or hardly any and then aren’t the same players when they come back for their club.

@m_brosnan @CarthyMehall It’s been quite common in Mayo the last few years anyway. But from what I’m told, if any player wants to play club they generally can. For years, clubs bowed to inter county management and didn’t want to put pressure on, which has changed now

Great stuff from Padraic Joyce. Hard to beat common sense. Players from outside the 26 were released to play for their clubs this weekend. "Sometimes lads come into panels, if they are not allowed to play, they end up not playing a game for months. I'd be totally against that”

@Panthero84 He totally dominated us in the air anyway and when we started coming back at ye, he caught some vital ball to relief the pressure. Great to see Wexford football on the up again, hope ye beat Westmeath next Sunday.

@antomasterson1 @Panthero84 Fair play to ye much deserved victory. Ye dominated us in midfield and Liam Coleman gave an exhibition of fielding for ye in Midfield, disappointed as a Clare man but great to see Wexford football on the up again.

Brilliant win for the lads who’ve been so consistent all league … Schools need to peppered with free passes and tickets for juveniles from Co Board.. We need to get 5,000 + into Wexford Park to give them the support they deserve 💜💛🏐
Wexford GAA@OfficialWexGAA

We hold on, brilliant 3 point win for our footballers in Ennis. Clare came out with a massive fight in the second half but our lads held on, helped by a brilliant 1st half performance. We head to Wexford Park next Sunday where we will play for promotion and a league final! Full time score; Wexford - 1.23 (26) Clare - 2.17 (23)

@Gerry_Flan93 @m_brosnan Definitely not always the case in every county, the odd player might play with their club. But usually they don’t play leagues the same weekend as the county are playing, well at least in Clare anyway.

@m_brosnan Pretty sure most inter county panels do and have done this for the last few years anyway. More often than not, it’s down to the player opting not to play as well, which goes unsaid.

@faughanside @VMSportIE Don’t think that’s the case, Rugby is a tough, physical sport. Not many lads be able to be basically physically beaten up for 80 plus minutes. Like in GAA, I’m a GAA man but the level of diving that has come into GAA over the last number of years is ridiculous

@JPunts97 Also Chessum should have tried to take the ball closer to the post for his intercept try, which would have made it an easier conversion for Finn Smith.

@JPunts97 Thought there was a deliberate knock from France on in the lead up to the last LBB try but they do seem to get them decisions at home. Pollock should have just kept hold of the ball instead of trying an offload that late on

@johnh_33 @mfceiling @Caolan_Scully A try and a try assist against Wales wasn’t bad going. Personally think that Baloucoune and O’Brien should be the starting wingers anyway at the moment particularly after how well they played and linked up against England.

@mfceiling @CarthyMehall @Caolan_Scully I was all for giving him a chance because of his Ulster form, and I’m glad he got it. But he’s been so underwhelming in both games (albeit most of them were against France) and I just think it’s time to move on 🤷‍♂️

If you want to see the definition of a team player, look no further than @dan2231... Kargese was his 33rd Grade One winner, an incredible haul. It's made more remarkable by the fact not one of those 33 have been a favourite. Typically class ride

@gal_man09 @slatterywill Sextons kicking wasn’t reliable for years it wasn’t until his late 20’s, early 30’s that his kicking became consistent. No way is Prendergast the answer, what has he done to show that he is gonna be better than Crowley?

@colmmahon7 @slatterywill When you look at it Stockdale has played very little for Ireland since 2021. In fairness O’Brien produced the goods against England after a poor performance against France. The more lads competing for positions the better so hopefully Stockdale puts in a good performance.

Some points of interest - 7 Ulster players in the 23, 12 months after having zero - Big reprieve for Stockdale, needs to take it - Tough on TOB to be left out - Timoney earned a start - Frawley wearing #23 instead of #22 is a crime - No place for SP, even with 5/3 - No Bundee

@MichaelWhy27402 @slatterywill Stockdale in fairness has played very little for Ireland since 2021 tbh. Like the France game was his first 6 Nations start in 5 years. TOB play that well that day either but was brilliant against, so hopefully Stockdale can produce a similar performance.

@slatterywill Stockdale is just a waste of time at this point he had one phenomenal break through season and then he got so many chances & here again another chance TOB should have started on that wing allow him & baloucoune build on the England performance! Or if not some other young winger!
