Ella Balinska (who’s worked with Gunn’s friend Elizabeth Banks on Charlie’s Angels and both her and Nathan Fillion in Skincare) would be awesome as Maxima. Tall, charismatic, can handle action and has weapons training in spades.

@x0Starlight That’s why I believe Christopher Abbott would be a perfect Batman. He plays trauma inward, making Bruce Wayne feel disciplined, haunted, and human, less spectacle, more noir detective shaped by consequence. He can truly become Bruce for a whole new generation.

Batman should just be someone totally unknown. Flip the script.
It doesn’t have to be an A list actor or someone that’s a popular pick for the role.
Gunn is THE best at bringing out insane performances in lesser known actors.

@EdensRelic @DCdaily Right, though while there is that Mr. Miracle animated series in the works, it’s best that she debuts there instead of in MoT. And doubt that Diana’s gonna show up so as to repeat BvS. So Maxima seems the most likely but we’ll see.

Daily reminder that a casting announcement is expected for a female character in her late twenties who is a strong-built warrior. It could be Wonder Woman, but I think it could be Big Barda.

@deathbypeebers @DCdaily Idk, maybe it’s just that studios like Marvel or DC plan for actors to play certain roles over a certain amount of time and if they’re too old for a certain role then it shows. Not that this would affect their performance of course but regardless.

Hot take: Bill Skarsgård is a great actor, but I don’t think he should be the DCU’s Joker. Other actors deserve a shot at the role.
