#tadc I think the reason Caine tortured her with Gummigoo is Pomnis guilt. She basically turned him from an NPC into a sentient being, earned his trust, promised him understanding and safety just to lead him straight into his death. She's been guilt ridden ever since.

Imagine holding all this guilt for thinking you are the reason the love of your life decided to ended it all and having to process that all alone in a place like that...for who knows how long... AND SURVIVING KINGER YOU'RE THE GOAT, MAN

The worst thing about Queenie's abstraction is Kinger blaming himself for months/years, not only for involving his wife in this mess, for his love not being enough to stop her from ending it all. And even with all his knowledge, there was nothing he could ever do to save her.
