I am heartbroken to share that I tore my ACL in the middle of the third quarter after scoring 20 points. Although this is not the path I expected, I have complete trust in my doctor, Dr. Key, Head Team Physician and Medical Director for the Kansas City Royals, as he prepares to perform a successful surgery. Thankfully, I have no other damage to my knee besides the torn ACL. I am incredibly blessed by the overwhelming support I have received from my family, friends, and teammates. While it hurts knowing I won’t be able to finish my junior season, I will continue to cheer on and lead my teammates toward success in any way I can. I trust God and His plan for me through this journey, and I know He will lead me back to the game of basketball better than ever. I am determined to attack this recovery, grow stronger through it, and work relentlessly every day. I guarantee I will return better than ever through my determination, hard work, and relentless love for the game of basketball. God is good all the time.
