it’s funny how everything that goes viral on tiktok y’all try to ruin. ao3 existed for years without ads or algorithms and it worked perfectly. if your first instinct is to monetize or police it, just proves you don’t understand fandom spaces and you’re not the target audience
One week to go for Mega Man: Bot in the Family's Kickstarter! The book cover is one of the first things I made to pitch the project to Capcom, containing a bunch of visual interplay and gags that'd make up the style of the comics. We're also already a "Project We Love" by KS!
WTF AI companies are purchasing large quantities of used and rare books. Scanning their contents to train models. Then turning the originals to pulp. The sum of human thought, digitized and shredded. Every book that gets scanned disappears from the physical world permanently. The knowledge survives only as training data inside a system no one can hold, browse, or resell. What used to sit on a shelf for centuries now exists as weights in a model that might get deprecated next quarter.
