I always headcanon that the mine engine was named "minnie" as a nickname and she was always just like some hyperactive kid running around the mines lmao

@DustyMarie53 I call shenanigans on that first one. It still feels massively disingenuous of them to develop and include these characters at all to begin with imo. Forced diversity in ANY given circumstance undermines the point of inclusion. You're not doing it because you want to.

@DustyMarie53 character. I feel the same way about Ashima. These characters merely exist to be the icon of the country they hail from. They're just PR tools for a kids show that lost its footing at the end of the day.

@DustyMarie53 Regardless of whether such a livery existed in real life, it would be better if the engine was introduced with a livery which makes sense for it to have worn in service. Besides that, they could have done something different rather than making her the marketable minority-
