@Snip3down @EliTheNinja Plus, I'd argue that the top talent of gamers playing shooters were competing in Halo during most of Ogre 2's wins. Not to mention, much larger turnouts. The percentage of top shooter players now (and arguably for a decade) have consistently NOT been in Halo (bcuz game quality)

The tech ceiling was multiple MS monitors or tube TV’s, no advanced controllers, 30/60fps and 78 FOV back in the day. No one had the ability to display that skill back then in a game with 100s of more teams everyone wished they were great at, compared to Halo today. As an old head yourself it’s kinda wild to say this take instead of just giving them both their flowers for their eras, GOATs to each their own

This might piss off some old heads like myself but I think after this event Royal 2 has become the Halo GOAT overtaking Ogre 2. Formal also should be in the top 10 now easily. Would be interesting to see the next rendition of the "Top 25" to see where everyone will fall after the Infinite era.

@Xrossfade Makes absolutely no sense to not call out if you're a competitive player. In every sport you should be practicing game situations like you play them. It's establishing better muscle memory

I wanna see Halo thrive. I think that if we see everyone try in mm like how everyone use to in previous titles the game will be a lot more enjoyable. There’s an entire generation of Halo players that don’t even know how to call out or understand how to use inflection to determine the time sensitivity of a callout. In order for this to happen it will require a top down approach. Young/new players look at pro players for guidance. If you guys are trying to be “too cool to callout” then why would new players callout? I wanna give a shout out to @aPureGangster and @BarcodeAK for sweating yesterday. Big step in the right direction. If all of the pros/top players sweat in mm it will change our community for the better imo
