If you haven’t seen it, the finale of Deal or No Deal Island, Season Two, was perhaps the most gripping episode of reality TV that I’ve ever seen. It was jaw-dropping unbelievable.

My thoughts on this week’s controversial DEAL OR NO DEAL ISLAND - Episode 206 - ON CK’S CHEATING… - Lets back up for a second first… Lete had made it clear so far in the competition that she was going to play an honest, straightforward game while here on the island. For example, something you didn’t see in the edit was that back during the sandcastle challenge, Lete went straight for the highest value $4M case and on top of that, was the first one to successfully remove it from the sand. She then doubled back and helped a bunch of the guests dig up theirs including Rock, who she tried to save from elimination once we were back on the dock. So far, there has been nothing but straight forward play on her part.  Now back to CK… In Episode 6’s excursion, Phillip went first and successfully grabbed a high value case to protect Lete. He then pulled CK’s coin from the box, signifying that she was up next. With her new-found teammate Lete already protected, CK then used her jump to try and hurt Dickson, a member of “The Family,” (who by the way, had the opportunity to eliminate CK previously but instead sent Storm packing when he beat the banker at his record-breaking $5M Temple).  After ensuring Dickson would be up for elimination by snagging a low value case, CK then cheated in order to pull Lete’s coin so that her alliance member would go next in the order and jump for a high value case ensuring her safety at Temple. But, as you know, I caught CK red handed and stopped the game. Lete let it be known that she didn’t want to be associated with anyone playing a dishonest game and in that moment, their alliance was broken. Lete’s coin didn’t count and as a result wasn’t picked next, dropping her in the picking order which then caused a domino effect, allowing Dickson to get revenge on CK by securing a low value case for her, thus putting her up for elimination too, and then David smartly seeing the writing on the wall between CK and Lete swooped in convincing Lete to secure the final high value case for him, ensuring his safety. MY TAKEAWAYS FROM THE EXCURSION… - CK took a shot at a member of “The Family,” and then got caught cheating in front of the group. She could have gone after Parvati or David but instead went after Dickson. And if we’ve learned anything from the past couple of weeks, Dickson has come into his own, and is not to be trifled with.  We witnessed the break up of Phillip and Parvati as an excursion couple.  Parvati’s head for strategy was on display and in a surprise move, she helped keep power out of the hands Dr. Will by not allowing him to tank the excursion and face The Banker again. I also want to flag that David and Parvati didn’t jump for each other. Parvati jumped for Dr. Will and David wound up jumping for Philip. That strategy left Parvati open to the a 50% possibility of elimination had La Shell not had the Banker’s Bust Case.   ON THE PARVATI/PHILLIP SPLIT… - We’ve tracked Phillip observing Parvati’s manipulation of the other players throughout the season so far, but now when we saw her try to manipulate him, he was ready for her, coiled like a snake. In fact, he carried that same energy into the Temple and bit CK with what was maybe the line of the series so far… whew!   ON THE CLIFFHANGER… - We’re giving you a week to catch your breath and get ready ready for what is a) maybe my favorite moment of the season so far, and b) the most creative verbal pummeling I’ve ever witnessed which is saying a lot, considering I had a front row seat for last season’s “Rumble in the Jungle,” between Kim, Claudia, and Boston Rob that brought down a massive, 150’ tree… We’ll pick up next week right where we left off… with the kettle boiling over, ready to explode… See you on the Island… 🏝️ 💼💰
