📆 We will be sending students home tomorrow with 2 copies of a Wallplanner for their Year Group. This contains key dates and also some activities which students can tick off once completed. We hope they're a useful addition and that you can find somewhere for them in your home.

🗣 Around 25% of pupils at Castle Rock qualify for Pupil Premium funding. The funding goes towards supporting many activities in school from individual uniform/equipment budgets to trips; experiences; revision guides; tutoring and intervention and more.

We are aware that some families may not have been able to attend our Open Evening and have emailed to offer the opportunity for tours during the school day. These can be booked from Tuesday 23rd to Friday 26th September at either 9:20 to 9:50am or 10:10 to 10:40am.

🔭 We recently relaunched our after-school STEM Club, welcoming both new and returning members with a brand-new programme of activities for the year ahead. This week we explored food calorimetry, investigating how much energy different foods contain.

📖 We were delighted today to welcome Matt Oldfield, a children's author, to school to lead a talk with our Year 8 students and some workshops afterwards. Matt even signed copies of his books for students who had an excellent time and really enjoyed the chance to work with him.
