With @PM_ViktorOrban losing the elections, we’ve lost our strongest fighter. Orbán built things that the rest of Europe can only dream of, and he was willing to pay massive fines to defy the EU’s replacement migration policies. Do we really think the new guy — who claims to be a nationalist — will magically continue the same path while receiving 17 BILLION Euros in EU funds and joining the Eurozone? Yeah, I don’t think so. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

Kampagnenleiter Péter Tóth erklärte auf der eigenen Wahlparty, es habe rund 2.000 Beschwerden von Wählern gegeben. Zum Vergleich: Bei den bis heute wegen Auszählungsfehlern angezweifelten Bundestagswahlen gab es maximal 900 Einsprüche. Dennoch relativiert Tóth: Größere Zwischenfälle habe es nicht gegeben. Brisant ist auch eine weitere Meldung: Das ungarische Fernsehen berichtete am Abend, im Falle einer Tisza-Niederlage seien Ausschreitungen in der Budapester Innenstadt geplant gewesen. Oppositionsnahe Medien kritisierten zwar die Verbreitung dieser Information – widersprachen ihr jedoch nicht ausdrücklich.

All I can think as I see the results roll in from Hungary is that a lot of people in the ‘western’ media owe @PM_ViktorOrban an apology. They tried to destroy not only him, but his country, over hysterical claims that Orban’s Fidesz was authoritarian and rigged the system so this could NEVER happen. Orban saved his country from complete destruction—more than once. How many western leaders can actually say that? None of them. It’s why they hate him.
