@Jennifer_Manly @GoogleForEdu @Jennifer_Manly I agree with you. However, this could be useful for forcing the conversation. Too many students just turn things in late without any communication and just expect that the educator will notice that it is there.

@GoogleForEdu Not accepting late work sends the message that work is only valuable/worth doing if it’s turned in on time. Not only is this antithetical to learning, it doesn’t mirror the real world, where many deadlines are flexible with adequate communication.

Recently, I felt dismissed due to my name. I was meant to be introduced together w a group of other scientists but when the person got to my name said "I can't pronounce that" and moved on introducing everyone else. I felt erased. Please, DON'T preach #Inclusion and then do that.
