Last night, a group of 17-year-old Israelis went out to a nightclub in Rhodes. Around 3 am, they heard that pro-Palestinians were targeting Israelis nearby. Wanting to avoid trouble, they decided to leave immediately. As they walked outside, a man claiming to support Israel and peace approached them and asked if they were Israeli. Moments later, he called dozens of his friends, whose sole purpose was to hunt down and attack the Israeli teens. “Suddenly 30 to 40 of them started running at us. At first we thought it wasn’t serious, but then we heard motorcycles speeding toward us. That’s when we knew we had to hide.” The teens scattered, trying to hide, but one of them was caught by the violent mob. He was kicked while the men filmed the assault. Greek police had to escort the Israeli teens back to their apartment. This brutal attack came just hours after pro-Palestinian activists blocked Israeli tourists from disembarking a cruise ship on another Greek island. Why is it that every time someone screams “Free Palestine,” it never actually helps Palestinians, but it always ends with Jews being hurt?
