Catapult has been leveraging Token-2022 since Feb ‘25. Creators set custom fees (up to 2%) collected in their own token, not in SOL — because the current SOL fee model pushes creators & devs to chase fee revenue → flooding the market with low-effort tokens. That’s one reason we’re seeing the downfall of Let’s Bonk and Finnbags in terms of volume. It’s broken. It has to change. On Catapult, fees can be streamed back as burns, community rewards, or any use case the creator chooses. Multiple recipient wallets + a simple slider let creators split fees between themselves and their community. With our flat bonding curve, it doesn’t matter if you buy at 10k or 30k MC — everyone gets equal entries before bonding. This removes the urge to dump for small gains and keeps launches fair. We believe this model brings balance back to memecoins. A new start soon, for the love of Catapult. Meow.

A quick word from the CATapult team! We started building CATapult in October with a simple mission: to fix the broken dynamics of memecoin launches. For 8 months we worked with obsession and love for what we were building, a launchpad on Solana that puts fairness and community at the center. Instead, a fair launch system where creators could earn from fees, and communities could access clean, transparent launches with good dilution and zero frontrunning. But beyond that, we built something never seen before on Solana: The first contract-level fee system, similar to how EVM tokens like ERC-20s can enforce transfer fees directly on-chain. We made it possible on Solana, paving the way for creators to launch tokens with built-in revenue mechanisms from day one. We were in love with our vision. The branding, the concept, all of it felt right. We believed the product would speak for itself. No paid KOLs. No influencers. Just a product that works. But we were wrong. Even with a great product, solving real problems, we underestimated the importance of visibility. Without traffic, even the best tools go unnoticed. Launching a token early on was another mistake. The goal was to place $CAT at the heart of the ecosystem, but without traffic, the token had no orbit to gravitate around. So we took a step back. No rug, no exit. Just some silence to reflect and reassess. Today, we’re breaking that silence. Because we still believe CATapult can be something powerful. And it starts with just one great project. Going to share some of the thinking that went behind the @boopdotfun design. 1/ The core thesis stemmed from us noticing that one segment of users would continuously buy the top and then get dumped on. Friends that shared CAs and used you as exit liquidity. Sound familiar?
