@HumanEd_Au Explicit teaching doesn’t need to be ‘teacher telling’ and doesn’t need to start the lesson. Sometimes the best place for explicit teaching is AFTER Sts have explored a concept/problem. I love using launch, explore, summarise. I also really love the term ‘intentional’ teaching.
