Peter Kreeft is an incredible writer, full of truth and beauty and sincerity
And listening to this, it is easy to see why
This is what a Catholic sounds like, very moving

Ohhh my word. Instant tears. This is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard someone say.

It should be noted that in the week before and after this homily was made
• A man in Belfast was almost BEHEADED in the streets by a man who had landed in the South and travelled North
• A man who should have been deported was on trial in Dublin for slashing three children, leaving one permanently and severely disabled. He was heard saying 'Shit Irish, Shit Fucking Irish' as he went to try to kill the children
• A migrant abandoned his efforts to appeal his sentence for killing Catholic school teacher Ashling Murphy, which suffered 11 stab wounds to her neck, severing her voicebox and removing her ability to scream for help
• An American Catholic woman was murdered by her lover who should have been deported
• There is also the reality that mass migration into Ireland is primarily to serve American companies such as Microsoft and Google, the workers of whom are completely pricing young Irish people out of homes. It is a bad reflection on the Catholic Church to be seen to be on the side of the rich and powerful against the people that they are supposed to represent.
If a comment like this was posted by an Irish person about how beautiful it is to have only Irish in their office, they would surely attract condemnation, so why does it not work the same in the opposite direction? Is the church on the side of big business or its own people? It cannot just be Irish people who are accused of fostering division on this issue

NEW: Ireland’s top Catholic archbishop used the evening of America’s 250th birthday to condemn “sinister forces who foster hate and division” against immigrants. He called hostility toward immigrants that claims to defend Christianity “blasphemous.” thelettersfromleo.com/p/blasphemous-…

The Christian Brothers helped to revive the Irish language in the early 20th century with their standardised grammar books
If the church wants to offer something outside the box in their schools they should turn many of their schools into Gaelscoils over the next decade

This is shocking. At an EU Foreign Affairs Committee meeting, Lynn Boylan lamented that it was “a pity we can’t use our own language.” When it was pointed out that she could, in fact, speak Irish, she backtracked almost instantly: "I wasn’t prepared, so I’ll use English."
