Welcome, May 🌸 A month dedicated to Mary and a season of growth and care. This month, the Holy Father invites us to pray that everyone might have enough to eat and to share what we have. Even small acts in the garden can be part of that prayer. #CatholicGarden #MonthofMary

Bloom & Bless 🌿 This tiny “roly-poly” is doing important work beneath the surface. Isopods build healthy soil, supporting the hidden web of life beneath our feet. Blessing level: quietly cultivating grace. #BloomAndBless #CatholicGarden

Today we celebrate the feast of St. Catherine of Siena 🌿 “God has made you a gardener, to root out vice and plant virtue.” We weed. We plant. We wait. We begin again. Sometimes the deepest growth happens beneath the surface. #CatholicGarden #StCatherineOfSiena

Garden of the Week 🌿🐝 We’re featuring the Go Wild! Pocket Prairie at Marquette University (@MarquetteU), a 3,000-square-foot native prairie with 67 native Wisconsin plant species that supports pollinators while creating space for learning, creativity, and quiet reflection.

@CatholicReview Love seeing Kelly Neale & Our Lady of Victory Parish featured here. Their garden is also part of Catholic Garden Network’s Garden Directory, and it’s encouraging to see more Catholic communities reimagining outdoor spaces in ways that care for creation and bring people together.

This Earth Day and National Volunteer Week, we’re grateful for gardens in Catholic communities that care for creation. 🌎🌱 Honored to join Monsignor Kevin Sullivan on the JustLove show this week to discuss gardening, faith, and service. justloveblog.org/2026/04/18/gar… #EarthDay

Spring has sprung at the Serve&Lift Center. Our raised beds are coming to life with spinach, snap peas, and some sprouting onions we planted. Not quite ready to harvest yet, but soon enough we'll have produce that is as locally grown as it can be.

Day 2 of the papal trip: Pope Leo arrived in Annaba, Algeria, and went straight to the archaeological site of ancient Hippo, where St. Augustine once served as bishop. Despite the rain, he ceremonially planted and watered an olive sapling among the ruins. 📸(CNS Photo/Lola Gomez)

75K+ flowers -- donated to the Vatican -- came from the Netherlands to decorate St. Peter’s Square for Easter. A 35-person volunteer team assembles the display in three days, and many plants are later replanted or donated. 🎥 CNS photo/@LolaGomezC
