Today, MPP @laurasthornhill and I tabled our joint Private Members’ Bill: “Improving Dementia Care in Ontario Act, 2023 “ in the Ontario Legislature. If passed, this bill aims to support families and the 240,000 patients affected by dementia.

Don't be fooled by @fordnation words care may be covered by your OHIP card but your provincial income tax will go up =less take home pay! So it costing everyone! Our system is envied by other countries who are trying to achieve what we have why change it GREED!

@theJagmeetSingh I was at Loblaws Bought and donated to the @foodbankscanada. Made me sick I paid for the groceries knowing they were making huge profits Shame on you Loblaws anyone donating to the food bank should receive huge discount so they can buy more and donate more

The government pulling back the "temporary" funding will further starve the hospital system to pay the little staff they have. Ford will put on his super hero cape and swoop in and claim to save the day with private care while depriving many Ontarian's the right to care

Does she not remember the pts who have dropped to the floor in ER's. Emerg situations are just that. Trying telling someone having a heart attack to be patient. Ford govt has destroyed HC they do not care. Maybe they should show compassion @NurseWithSign @NursesWant

Same people also were not held under Bill 124. Was directly an attack against all unionized workers. Yet some unionized workers voted 4 him because he tossed them a bone. Arbitrators/OHA should be offering every health care worker a gift basket full of % increases @NursesWant

In order to hire both Feds & Prov need to respect and pay equitable with our other frontline partners. feds need to police transfer payments and Prov needs to use the $$ as intended @NursesWant @NurseWithSign @OntarioNDP

The only thing that will fix health care is more health care workers. Justin Trudeau has a choice. He can make things better by hiring workers — or he can make the crisis worse, by funding for-profit schemes that will drain staff from public hospitals.

Justin Trudeau & his Liberal government spent $100 million on consultants but refuse to deliver on his promise to hire 7,100 nurses to help address staffing shortages. We have to stop this cycle — where Liberals/Conservatives funnel contract after contract to their rich friends.
