Really interesting morning of shared learning for remote health seedling projects in the Department of Health. Kelly Delaney rAMP did a great job presenting our new remote hypertension monitoring programme for maternity patients in @OLOLMat_Unit @gra_milne12

Just home from giving blood this evening. Stock of all groups in low supply. So have a look at the clinics running next week to see if you can spare the hour it takes to donate @Giveblood_ie
Giveblood@Giveblood_ie

Supplies of vital blood types are running low across the country. Please make an appointment to give blood this week to ensure hospitals have the treatments they need. New donors, call 1800 731 137. Returning donors, book online. #WeCountOnYou

@SanIosaef19 @Michael_O_Regan Sorry Victor while that arrangement does exist for some locum services this is not what is referred to in the article. These are permanent HSE salaried staff so no flights, accommodation or subsistence paid.

@Michael_O_Regan I think it's a bit more complicated than that. These are locums. They are paid multiples of permanent HSEsalaried staff. They get flights, accommodation and subsistence paid for. Why would they lose all that by living and working full-time in Ireland?

@louisemcsharry The staff in the Rotunda hospital were first responders on the scene with paramedics. They are traumatised. Now they are being advised to stay in and not leave for safety reasons. It is affecting access for worried patients to the hospital and parents trying to visit sick babies

I dunno about you but if I was concerned about women and children’s safety I’d put a balaclava on and start smashing the city I live in up and setting shit on fire while women and children try to make their way home in the evening.
