Sir Peter Morris: Just fed up of all the nonsense.
I'm not 100% on this...But. If you were locked in a room that contained 'only' CO2, would that kill you? Conversely. If you were locked in a room containing absolutely no CO2. Would that kill you? If the answer to the second question is yes.? So endeth the climate change net zero argument, at a stroke.

I've seen a very dark side of this platform over the bank holiday weekend. I wrote a post supporting teachers — thousands of replies telling me that they hate teachers. Posts in which I called out Robert Kenyon's misogyny — thousands of replies telling me that he's 'proper bloke' and plenty of women saying they'll happily vote for him. Allowing for the 𝕏 Bot Factor, I am really quite shocked by how many people are so entrenched in beliefs I thought we'd left behind in the 1980s. Reform UK has dragged a sizeable proportion of this country back decades. Racism. Misogyny. Anti-education. A trifecta of bigotry being used to weaponise the far-right. Very disturbing but, thankfully, in the UK, it's only around 23% of the population. Not enough for Reform to win a General Election.

I wish people would realise there is more to deciding who to vote for than deportations and grooming gangs. While these two issues definitely have merit in coming to a decision, surely people look at all the other policies of parties too, don't they? You know, net zero, education, the benefits bill, tax thresholds, protecting our countryside, crime and punishment and a whole host of other things. Please tell me you do.

@KeruboSk So, you fucked up your lie in your 2nd sentence. 4A and 4C are not next to each other. So, how exactly where you going to talk across the aisle, with someone between you for the entire flight?

My husband and I booked a flight months in advance for our honeymoon. We booked 4A and 4C in First Class so we could talk, relax, and celebrate. We board the plane, get to row 4, and there is already a woman sitting in my seat, 4C. My husband politely looks at her and says, "Oh, hi, sorry, I think you might be in my wife's seat." The woman looks up, sighs dramatically, and says, "The gate agent moved her. I need this seat because of my medical condition. She's in 12D." 12D is Comfort Plus. Not First Class. I immediately look at my phone—sure enough, the airline app had refreshed while we were walking down the jet bridge and changed my seat without a single notification or warning. My husband instantly flagged down the lead flight attendant. He explained that we paid thousands for these specific seats for our honeymoon, and I was absolutely not moving to a lower class because someone else made a last-minute demand at the gate. The flight attendant went to speak to the woman, who instantly started crying, claiming we were "harassing" her. The flight attendant then turned to my husband and whispered, "Can't you just be a gentleman so we can take off on time?" The sheer audacity. My husband stood his ground. "If she has a medical need for First Class, she can buy a First Class ticket. Give my wife her seat back, or get the supervisor down here right now." They eventually moved the woman back to her original seat in coach, but for the rest of the flight, the flight attendant completely penalized us. She ignored our drink orders and literally slammed our snack baskets onto our trays. Sorry for wanting the seat we actually paid for, I guess?

@speakoutsister There isn't a flaw in my reasoning - the flaw is that transwomen don't want to obey the law. Let's face it, segregated toilets have existed for two millenia & somehow we managed.

"all that's needed is for rapists and murderers to obey the law" Can anyone see a problem with that?
Mia Weston@MiaJaneWest77

@GoatApocalypse @speakoutsister So making women safer in toilets, changing rooms, prisons & hospital wards isn't important? And it's easy to police. All that is need is that men obey the law, just as people generally obey drink driving laws. All transwomen were born male, and they all know this. Simple.

Beautiful illustration of how the Sun, Moon, and Stars appear and disappear from our visual perspective while observing from the ground on Earth. People ask me all the time why folks in the south can't see the North Star (Polaris). It's because it is simply too far away. (Same reason why northern observers cannot see the Southern Cross constellation). The celestial bodies dip down over the horizon when they reach around 6,000 miles (9,600km) away from our observation point on the ground (in the x-axis direction). You can confirm this yourself by taking note of the exact time the sun disappears from sight during sunset, and checking where on Earth it's noon at that time. It will be roughly 6,000 miles away. Our eyes cannot see infinitely! Increasing your altitude, and using a high-powered zoom lens will increase your optical range...but only slightly, as you can't do anything about the atmospheric thickness/smog.

This new Flat Earth Conceptual Model is a GAME-CHANGER. It allows you to toggle between viewing Earth's full celestial system from above, and as an observer on the ground with perspective restrictions. Bravo, @AntiDisinfo86 👏
