@CatolineGato @FilthyAstro aww cool so venus for ur taurus 9th house is the 2nd triplicity lord b.c u are born during the night (the order shifts on time of day) and so the 2nd triplicity lord is in charge of : "relationship to religion/spirituality, faith, religious observance" so wow makes sense!

Venus has been flattened in astrology for so long, I barely hear anyone speak about her relationship to temples and devotion. It's so loud in the Hellenistic and Islamicate medieval texts. Today thinking of how she rejoices in the 5th house alongside this quote:

@cielosueloastro Woah. This last retrograde went through my fifth house and, yes, turned creativity into devotion. I created all sorts of prayer cards and developed an entire new way to worship Venus. I have five planets in Libra, so…it was a busy retrograde. Thank you for this lovely offering!

@alliegorical But! I ended up going to Mass in person as well. The ritual is a gift my body really only receives in person. The sounds & echoes & movement of others is baked into my experience of worship. Still, deeply prefer zoom church with the cats!

@alliegorical I hadn’t gone to Mass in decades. In the last year Zoom church (broadcast by the same parish you are referring to) became an integral part of my life. Even set an alarm! I find myself able to deeply tune in and center into contemplation rather than ritual. It’s been a gift!

@CitizenCotto @LatinMusicTonig My clear memories center more on the ear cave and other people’s stories. However! One night after a terrible date I wandered to La Paloma to see what was going on. There was an orchestra, vibrancy & condensed joy. Afterwards I felt like I’d been scrubbed by a wall of happy.

I didn’t know any of you then, had recently moved to the neighborhood, and I’d sit there completely enthralled and so thrilled I’d moved to Frog Hollow. It was a very special time.

@heldermira I feed the Hartford crows and consider them dear friends! Those birds are most likely sending you fond hellos and wondering if you have any peanuts. They are the dorkiest and brightest little poop machines. Sending you love and a gentle hug from afar.

@RSGAT @thekirkwontquit There’s a sea chanty festival every June at the Mystic Sea Port Museum. Being in the room while everyone sings these songs is as close to the feeling of hearing and feeling the wind move in song as most anyone can get. Highly recommend the experience!
