Members of the CATU Crumlin-Drimnagh branch held their monthly branch meeting last Thursday evening. There were very productive discussions on stalls, doorknocking and member defence.

Everyone should be able to feel safe in their communities and the branch will keep working until this urgent issue is resolved.

Members of the CATU Crumlin-Drimnagh branch were at the Dublin City Council offices earlier this afternoon to demand that urgent action be taken for a branch member that has been put in danger due to persistent intimidation.

This Saturday the 21st CATU members will be marching together in support of Palestine and to protest the escalations from the Israeli state including the bombing of a hospital. We are meeting at 12:30 at the Hugh Lane Gallery to form a CATU bloc. Ireland stands with Palestine!

Our 83 year old member has been waiting since May to have a modern handrail fitted by NIHE. Unable to get upstairs other than by crawling, she is often forced to sleep on her sofa. CATU has demanded that this, and other vital repairs to her leaking roof, be made immediately.

This building was derelict for 6 years. This is what happens within hours of homeless people squatting there for shelter. People die on the streets while living in tents in Ireland.
