AI-based security tools are clearly an arms race between good guys and bad guys. However, it is also worth keeping in mind that protocols fundamentally either do or don’t have security flaws. If there is a flaw, AI makes it easier for both good and bad guys to find it, hopefully in the same or better proportions than before. But AI doesn’t enable a bad guy to manufacture flaws, and the more thorough “scraping of the sides of the barrel” reduces likelihood that anything remains.
