Our volunteers yesterday 6 laid down hay in the maze to cover mucky patches, 3 worked in the herb garden & 5 cut laurel. If you are interested, come along to our next work party at the maze on 26 Oct at 10:00.

@Cavehillmtbers @belfastcc The path highlighted is not a bike trail, though bikers have used it. It's primarily a hiking trail. Can you confirm if it'll be open to hikers @CavehillConserv

Please note that the path highlighted (red & white) in the attached map will be closed for filming on Friday the 13th of Sept from 7am to 12 noon. We ask all mountain bikers to avoid this area during these times. @belfastcc

Phil Simpson @buzzardbushcraft & his daughter Lisa led a superb forage walk in #Cavehill wood. They showed us a range of plants & described their medicinal & culinary uses. We then treated us to elderflower champagne, compote of wild fruits, nettle soup & flour/nettle biscuits.

WE recently went for a dander at Belfast Castle with @CavehillConserv who introduced us to the maze their volunteers created on the north side of the castle where their volunteers also created a raised her bed. #cavehillnorthernireland #cavehillconservationcampaign #boutyeh

8 volunteers from @WSP UK, an engineering consortium joined us today for a litter lift. We gave them a guided tour of the woods and they lifted 8 large bags of rubbish from deep among the trees. A great day's work from a lovely, lively bunch. Thanks, guys!
