The most beautiful expression of your heart comes when you are able to praise God in the midst of opposition and adversarial circumstances around you. God recognizes and rewards.
I sincerely thank everyone for your support and effectual, fervent prayers as we observed 50 years in Pastoral Ministry at Brookland. Someone has said that "friends are angels who lift us on our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly." Thanks so very much.
I am deeply humbled by the favor of God to have been the servant leader of my home church, Brookland, for 50 years. To all of you I say "thank you." It seems so small when compared to all of your prayers and support, but it comes from the far reaches of my heart. TGBTG!!!
Sunday, October 17th, we will observe the 50 years God has favored us to serve at Brookland. I am sincerely humbled by all the Love and expressions of kindness everyone is showing. May God's favor abide with you.
Love is the most durable power in the world. This creative force, emanating from the heart of God and beautifully exemplified in the life of Christ, is the most potent instrument available in our quest for unity and peace.
We will encourage more people to become Christians by living the life of a Christian ourselves. The more we conduct ourselves as Christians away from church, the more of an influence we will have on others.
Love is the only force capable of transforming bad into good. Love, by its very nature, creates and builds up; hate, by its very nature, destroys and tears down. Love transforms with redemptive power.
If we say that God is able to protect us from covid, do not we agree that He is also able to protect us if we take the vaccine? We do not restrict the authority of God. Let us take the vaccine and help prevent the spread of covid and save lives.
When we say that we love others, do we match our words with actions. One great tragedy of life is that people seldom bridge the gulf between profession and practice, between saying and doing.
When we gather for worship, we should expect to sense the awesome presence of God. There is a deep respect for the holiness, majesty, joy and power of Almighty God in our midst.
The Love of God enables us to see people, not as entities or objects, but as humans molded in the same divine image as we are. Let us pray for God to give us the mindset to see all humankind as brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.
The church is being pulled in different directions by a Christless culture. We have adopted secular views of God and depreciated Him to "next to nothing." God is calling for righteous believers to become more vocal in our witness for Christ.
Life should not be like a mirror where we see only ourselves, but rather a window where we can see others. When we look and see others, the Love of God will inspire us to reach out in Love.
Make your heart a citadel of worship, a castle of praise, where only what is holy can permanently dwell. Surrounded by God's presence will renounce the self-absorption of your life.
The greatest treasure you will ever receive is the Love of God. His Love brings peace and confident trust. There is an endless supply to satisfy. Ask and you will receive it.
