@CcuSad @CURinAction Amazing research! One of the great topics to explore in the current scenario. Can you share a little bit of whether your results show any significance within the age variability or do you think that age will also play a significant factor relative to the gender?
English

The Breaking S.A.D. Initiative worked to investigate the effects of screen time and social media on suicidal behaviors among undergraduates. Strong associations were found. #POH2020 #POHGoesVirtual @CCUChanticleers @kass_smith14 @haileyw68 @Jevans831 @HproCcu @CURinAction

@MathProf_Vino @CURinAction Thank you so much for your reply! In this particular study we examined social media items by those who had thoughts of suicide in the past year v. those who had not using t-tests. We plan to analyze this in the future with ANOVA tests while also controlling for gender and age.

@LindsayCurrieEO @ASAEcenter @CURinAction Thank you so much for all of your support. We understand that there is a stigma surrounding mental health throughout all age groups and populations, and it needs to be diminished. #BreakTheStigma

@MrsHains @CCUChanticleers @kass_smith14 @haileyw68 @Jevans831 @HproCcu @CURinAction @LindseyGrahamSC @SenatorTimScott @RepTomRice Yes, thank you, this research needs to be expanded to other age groups for further understanding. With technology growing and kids being introduced at younger ages it’s prudent to make sure their mental health is not being negatively affected.

@mardyc45 @CCUChanticleers @kass_smith14 @haileyw68 @Jevans831 @HproCcu @CURinAction @LindseyGrahamSC @SenatorTimScott @RepTomRice There are many different things one can do to monitor their social media:
1. Use weekly screen time reports provided by various applications or even Apple software
2. Make a log of screen time for yourself
3. Making sure to only interact in a positive way on social media

@CcuSad @CCUChanticleers @kass_smith14 @haileyw68 @Jevans831 @HproCcu @CURinAction @LindseyGrahamSC @SenatorTimScott @RepTomRice What are some things people can do to monitor their social media?
