@trussleadership lol... you just described how I spend half my time planning for class. These "little things" we do to normalize black and brown people. I've literally had to print pictures for an anchor charts and colour the characters to represent my students. It's the little things...

@Drawn2Intellect Right now we're teaching people to do the latter. The idea of embedding our teaching from an anti-racist standpoint seems to be a new concept or add-on for many in this institution...still 🤷🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

If you're an educator of Black children, it is imperative that your professional learning is inclusive of the work of Black scholars and researchers.

Shout out to the folks who were so upset and posting about racial justice all summer, but have conveniently become SILENT since then. We see yall. More importantly, that mirror in your bathroom works well. Take a good look.

That narrative supports white supremacy. This narrative negates white responsibility. BIPOC can’t avoid talking about race. Here in lies the problem. We need research to show this is a problem. 400 years is plenty research.

This needs to happen🤞🏾
