Coming out of tweet retirement to share this beautiful moment. Koda the beagle became paralyzed 8 weeks ago & is slowly learning how to use his wheels. We were told to give him a little tug if he needed the encouragement. Our other pup Yogi took care of that for us on his own 🤍

@JustAmyCA @MsGo @faeraz_ @dodo It’s really hard at first, but it gets easier and you adjust! The first two weeks are the hardest. Just remember there’s a light at the end of the tunnel!

@CecSlaterAnne @MsGo @faeraz_ @dodo My dad’s dog is currently recovering from surgery at a neurologist after sudden paralysis. He doesn’t seem to be improving and may have another surgery tomorrow. Did you try surgery for Koda? Does Koda seem happy and comfortable using a wheelchair?

@JohnMcC98307464 @MsGo @dodo It’s really hard to say without getting seen by a neurologist. If it’s just in her tail, it’s probably not IVDD, but you can never be sure

@MsGo @faeraz_ @dodo Yes, it’s called IVDD and is a degenerative disc disease he was born with. Unfortunately the part where I explained it was not included in the video, guessing due to time constraints.

@faeraz_ @dodo @CecSlaterAnne Okay, so apparently it is something beagles are prone to. Crumbling disc or a pain disorder that can lead to paralysis. I needed closure so I had to look this up.
