These girls were part of Cohort 2. They graduated. We met their mom in one of our community dialogues and she told us that her girls refused to undergo the cut. They educated their mom on the detrimental effects of FGM. #EndFGM

Remember ARP? The Alternative Rites of Passage? Where we mimic the traditional initiation ritual but with the omission of the cut? Where we teach our girls on Life skills, Hygiene, Reproductive health and Culture? Yes, that ARP. It works! And we are here with a success story.

Family bears the ultimate burden of prevention of violence. We had a productive and enjoyable session with the School pupils. We sensitized them on Family and the role it plays in curbing/preventing Violence.

Family is an important foundation. It is where our roots take hold. Family is one of the most important aspects of a person’s life. Family bonds are a link to our beginning and a guide to our future, therefore early influences are very fundamental to our individual development.

@Solidaarisuus70 As an organization, we are proud of this milestone. and we hope to increase reporting of cases and foresee a well coordinated multi-sectoral approach to handling SGBV cases from the health and security sector.

Through FINGO experiment, ISF @Solidaarisuus70 and it's partners are in the process of developing a toll-free number for SGBV cases reporting. #GBV

@Solidaarisuus70 In the next few days, through just a phone call, survivors will have an opportunity to report cases and receive proper guidance on reporting and handling of the cases.
