Tua Tagovailoa to the Falcons has no effect on Michael Penix Jr starting for the Falcons
It’s quite literally the smartest move a GM could make. Paying Tua the minimum costs less than signing Joe Flacco to back up Penix.
It’s cost effective and you know you get a capable start if Penix can’t go in time.
Penix Jr is the starter.
