Raccoon kits are beginning to be born this time of year. If you find an uninjured baby raccoon, place it in a shallow box nearby and leave the area for several hours to allow the mother to retrieve it. Call a Wildlife Rehabilitator if the baby is injured or covered in insects.

Patient Spotlight: Red-tailed Hawk We admitted this huge 3.5lb Red-tailed Hawk after she was found flightless in Bridgeton, NJ. While we do not know exactly what happened to this beautiful bird, her injuries suggest that she was involved in a fight with another animal

Crows and ravens are part of the Corvid family that also include jays, magpies, and nutcrackers. They are the largest songbirds and highly intelligent! They make and use tools and can even learn words. If you have visited, you have maybe heard our Fish Crow, Crogin, say hello!

Welcome Poe! We are excited to introduce a new Wildlife Ambassador to Cedar Run, Poe the Common Raven! Poe was transferred to Cedar Run in October after being seen grounded for 3 weeks with a fractured wing. Cedar Run is happy to provide a forever home for him!
