Even if it's about you, everything when it comes to relationships is always going to be a double sided coin. While you admit to yourself that you're clingy and have Anxious Attachment issues, and yeah those are things to work on, if the other person doesn't make you feel safe enough to work out your anxieties or your attachment, then I think there's a fundamental issues in the relationship already, whether it has a label or not. This is also true when it comes to simple relationships like friendship as well. Having someone reassure you whenever these anxieties start rummaging through your brain, or show you otherwise of the thoughts the anxieties plant in your brain, can do wonders for letting you feel more like you can be you, rather than suppressing yourself, and can help put those anxieties to rest.
