Ok, looks like he mentioned the first mystery in the interview. (Or if you just read the plot summary of the novel.) Basically the 200 year old bones discovered in the archaeological site in the Himalayas shared the same DNA sequence as Shiharu, who disappeared 4 years ago.

Convinced she's still alive, even though her father said she was dead. One day, while conducting a DNA test on 200yr old human bones found in an archaeological site, he discovers something that sets off a chain of events and hints at a major conspiracy.

Her death and/or disappearance was quite devastating. His mentor is also a kouhai of his stepdad, who is the president (?) of a pharmaceutical (? Sorry, I forgot) company.

Haven't seen this type of look for a character. From the novel, Haruka is described as extremely beautiful and ethereal, captivating men & women, young & old. He also is kinda cold & distant & doesn't smile much. He's very close with his step sister. (Like very close. 😉)
