Not going deep into this. But thinking about BCL v SRT. Lara - On his day, while facing a particular ball, he could tailor a gap when you felt there was none. Creating angles... But when it comes to having a game for different conditions, it is SRT. And he successfully tweaked his game enough times from say 1992 to 2011. One of the reasons for his longevity.
