I cannot fathom how people are so afraid of collab culture. I keep seeing posts on here of people talking about how they’re not sure how to ask others to collab/get so surprised when others ask to collab it’s like, you’re all just people. If you never ask, the answer will be no.

I keep seeing vtubers posting that they want friends and then people commenting under the post, but it doesn’t seem to amount to anything??? Like, you just got people who also want friends to comment so slide into the DMs. Unless it’s all engagement farming, which it might be😞

@_xSephyy I've been a vtuber since 2014, watched many come and many go. Since the concept started, drama has been the one consistent thing. It's the reason reality TV did so well.

Everyone involved in some form of VTuber drama and I'm sitting over here petting my cats wondering why we can't all just... get along in an environment that's supposed to be welcoming and friendly. I get some sides but others just confuse me man.. I just wanna collab w/cool beans

Long and short, if you don't have a plan, then it's all left up to luck. Luck very few people grow with. But along with advice like "stay consistent" and "make good content" are just advice that means very little. Of course staying consistent can help have a few people shoe up but it rarely is a king maker. Niche is a better way to get an audience, but if you aren't into it then you'll crash and burn. Make good content is just a useless phrase like "get good scrub" Variety streaming is definitely over saturated and will be hard to grow with not impossible with networking. But people won't stay if you can't come up with a plan. Watch your content and ask yourself "what would make me stick around if I was watching this?"

Those of you giving advice about algorithms and vtuber growth, let me ask you this, and please read to the end. All this talk about staying in your niche, but like, what if you don't want to be tied down to a niche, what if you don't want to be effectively forced to stick to one type of content? There are a lot of people who want to do variety content, people who don'g want to be tied down, are they just unable to grow in your opinion? Will they never grow because they don't have a niche? What do you think about that?

@BaniiByte first time on the vtuber/streamer circuit? 😋 I'm an ancient one in the vtuber community and sadly this is just part and parcel for content creators. They like to latch on to the drama train and ride it to stardom

I feel like recently I’ve seen a LOT of VTubers trying to start drama in order to get traction on twitter..   This is such an ick for me.. like I’ve genuinely been unfollowing anyone doing this because why would you ever want to grow your community around drama?? (·•᷄ࡇ•᷅ )

@psyche_clover Autim vertical is a nice plugin that let's you clip a set amount of time back from when you press your hotkey and it creates a vertical clip for you. So you can clip in real-time and that part is free.

VTUBERS WITHOUT EDITORS how do you sit through your whole VOD for clips? I’m struggling to watch this

Fun little history of vtubers, i'm one of the oldest vtubers, originally called faceriggers from a program called facerig (2014 beta). When Kizunai AI came out (2016), the name changed to Vtubers (Virtual Youtubers) A few years later (2018) Vstreamers picked up, but the term didn't adopt well, so Vstreamers took the name vtuber and left Vstreamer behind. Now here we are and I wonder if any of you remembered that vtuber meant "Virtual Youtube"? As obvious as it is. This was me when I started content creating ^.^
