The thinking was always that he'd finish his career here contending for multiple championships. That's obviously not possible anymore. Still think there was value in him remaining as veteran mentor & steady hand at C, if paid to do so accordingly. Maybe that was never possible..

Still wrapping my head around the fact that this is it for Horford in BOS. He accomplished the goal in '24, but this still feels like an unceremonious end for someone who legitimately became one of the more important figures in franchise history. Circumstances changed, but tough.

Boston will always be special in my heart. Huge thank you to the organization, coaches, staff, my teammates and the fans! Class organization. Forever grateful. ☘️

@PraveenRai33 Not a single ‘big’ side is going to get eliminated, though. In fact, you’d have to be very, very bad. In the previous format, we saw giants get relegated quite frequently — almost every year.

I was wrong about this years CL format, it’s awful. UEFA sold it as bigger games and more jeopardy, but that’s just not the case, at least in terms of the latter. Side’s like City can win 3/8 of their games, and STILL relatively comfortably make the K/Os. It’s a cake walk.
