@UnitedStandMUFC They aren't mugs. They agreed a fee when he went on loan. Barcelona then wanted Rashford cheaper - we didn't roll over like we might of done in the past. If we sold Rashford for 15 million everybody would be saying how bad we are at selling players.

🚨 FA statement on Chelsea. "A financial sanction of £10 million and a suspended two-window registration ban have been imposed on Chelsea FC for breaches of The Football Association [The FA] Football Agent Regulations, Regulations on Working with Intermediaries and Third Party Investment in Players Regulations.   "The FA charged Chelsea FC with 74 breaches of FA Rule E1.2 after its current ownership self-reported misconduct upon its purchase of the club. The FA is continuing to investigate individual misconduct arising out of this case. "Chelsea FC admitted to the 74 breaches of FA Rule E1.2 prior to a hearing and an independent Regulatory Commission imposed a six-point deduction, which was to be suspended until 30 June 2027, and a £10 million fine.  "The club appealed against the suspended points deduction and an independent Appeal Board allowed the appeal and set aside this sanction following a further hearing. In its place, the Appeal Board imposed a registration ban for two complete and consecutive transfer windows which is suspended until 30 June 2027.  "The £10 million fine imposed by the Regulatory Commission was not subject to appeal and the full amount will be invested into grassroots football."

@JacobsBen With an advisor also quitting I'm going to say his position is untenable now. He'd of survived too if he hadn't done this. There was alot of anger over some of his decisions at this world cup and the 2022 one. And he'd of survived it.

"The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has observed with deep concern the developments of recent days relating to the proposed establishment of FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE) and the uncertainty that has emerged across the global football community. "The AFC stands in solidarity with UEFA and CONCACAF in expressing serious concerns over FIFA’s proposal to introduce private investment into FIFA's flagship competitions and the decision-making process around FFE. "The fact that the situation has reached the point where the real possibility of a FIFA World Cup boycott has entered public discourse should concern everyone who cares about the future of our game. Football should never have been placed in such a position. "Against this backdrop, and in light of the clear positions expressed by UEFA and CONCACAF, as well as the unprecedented divisions that have emerged across the football world, the AFC believes that the proposed FFE cannot realistically achieve the necessary broad consensus and unity required to move forward. "The FIFA World Cup is the pinnacle of global football and derives its strength from the participation of all Confederations and the world’s leading football nations. Any proposal that risks undermining the unity and universal character of the competition must be reconsidered. "While the immediate debate centres on FFE, the AFC considers this issue extends far beyond a single proposal. Rather, it has exposed fundamental weaknesses in FIFA’s consultation and decision-making processes that must now be addressed. While the AFC notes FIFA’s latest clarification on the proposal, the central concerns surrounding governance, institutional process and meaningful consultation remain unanswered. "A proposal of such significance, with the potential to affect the commercial, sporting and strategic future of world football, must not emerge through processes that leave Confederations, Member Associations (MAs) and even FIFA’s own governing bodies, including the FIFA Council, feeling sidelined. The primary objective for world football must be to ensure that decisions of such magnitude are being developed through processes that are anchored on transparency and command the confidence of the football community. "This is not the first occasion where major stakeholders have been confronted with significant initiatives after the direction of travel appears to have already been determined. "The AFC believes this moment must become a catalyst for strengthening institutional reform. @RafaelH117 Not really. 6 of the last 8 in the 2026 World Cup were European teams. They get the most qualification spots. The value of the competition to investors just dropped significantly. All they were bothered about was making as much money as possible. And that's just dropped.

What happens if FIFA goes ahead with their plan, sell part of the World Cup to investors and now that European nations aren’t involved the payoff to football associations across the globe skyrockets, making it even more tempting? UEFA have walked into a trap?

@Leumaswazhere2 Net spend is around £36 million and it's August next week. Sure I get being apprehensive, especially because it's not worked out for us before. But how often does a legitimate world class, game changing player just come available. Surely it's worth at least exploring?

@StevenMcinerney I think every big club should be trying if there's indication he's going to leave Madrid. The fact only Arsenal have expressed some form of interest in exploring whilst City, United, Liverpool and Chelsea haven't yet is a bit crazy.

City would be mental to not be strongly in for Vini Jr if he's available IMO.
