That’s a wrap on the in-person component of #BARS2024! Thank you to all who came for making it such a fantastic few days - a wealth of panels, fabulous music, friends and colleagues old and new, and several happy reminders of some of the many beautiful buildings in our city 🥂

Feeling inspired and motivated after a trio of brilliant conferences this summer. It all started with the 13th Walter Scott Conference @UofSC. Huge thanks to Tony Jarrells, @ScottpScottp and other organisers for a great conference, and @WalterScottClub for their generous bursary!

Aberdeen academics including RIISS deputy director @Sarah_natters, and @CentreWalter researchers including @ferrier_kate, @AnnaFancett and @DrNatalieTal disseminated new Scottish research at the British Association for Romantic Studies conference in Glasgow this week.

Also at the end of May, RIISS deputy director @Sarah_natters attended the Walter Scott conference in Columbia, SC to present findings from her upcoming book. She was part of a group from @CentreWalter sharing exciting new research from Aberdeen.

Huge thanks to @ScottpScottp, Tony and Gretchen, and the University of South Carolina for their warm hospitality and a brilliant 13th International Walter Scott Conference.
