No one knows what society will look like in 2050, but two things are certain. •MTV will still air Ridiculousness 24/7. •Lane Kiffin will still be telling anyone who will listen why he left Ole Miss.

I get ESPN for whatever reason has this weird, "What Stephen A. Smith wants, Stephen A. gets", mentality. But I'm stunned they are bringing Skip Bayless back (even for a one-off) after the FS1 lawsuit. Also, would this happen if Shannon Sharpe was still on the show?

Can't believe Disney is carrying the Super Bowl for the very first time. Mainly because they've carried the Super Bowl three times, most recently in 2006. But let's just pretend this is all a new thing.

Tough loss for linear TV.
Variety@Variety

The #Oscars are leaving ABC and moving to YouTube beginning 2029. "The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and YouTube signed a multi-year deal that will give YouTube the exclusive global rights to the Oscars®, beginning in 2029 with the 101st Oscars ceremony and running through 2033," reads a statement. "The Oscars, including red carpet coverage, behind-the-scenes content, Governors Ball access, and more, will be available live and for free to over 2 billion viewers around the world on YouTube, and to YouTube TV subscribers in the United States." variety.com/2025/film/news…

Hey HC Pete, when things slow down, please make sure to promote Lacy for the Doak Walker and Chambliss for the Heisman, something the last guy didn’t do.

As an Ole Miss fan, I'm grateful for what he has done & how he is leaving the program better than he found it. But his exit will be how he is remembered amongst OM fans unfortunately. Feel so bad for the players. #CFB

Never thought I would see the day a coach would be more despised at Ole Miss than Tommy Tuberville & Hugh Freeze. I'm sure he will win at LSU & probably get a natty, but man what a mess. #CFB

Have not watched ESPN 24/7 on this but I've seen so many clips at this point. IMO: Lane Kiffin offers a mirror into big-time college football broadcasting. During the course of writing about sports media for many years, I have found specific criticism of CFB coaches to be rare from both remote and studio broadcasts — and far less than players. This is different than being critical of the sport itself, which certainly happens. As to the why. My thought? The rightsholders always need the coaches more than the players. The coaches are the constant.
Jemele Hill@jemelehill

Rex Ryan really sat there and defended Lane Kiffin and in the same breath criticized college players for leveraging similar opportunities. Lane Kiffin has done this multiple times. Brian Kelly and another coaches have done it, too. They were doing this before NIL ever came into play. Thee hypocrisy.

Hate this NBA Cup court the 76ers have. Reminds me of Boise State's football field. #NBA

After tonight, I will be stunned if the committee doesn't drop Ole Miss out of the CFP if they lose to State & Lane Kiffin leaves. #CFB #CFP
